Open Call For Submissions to CTA

Core Temp Arts is a podcast network dedicated to societal commentary, TV, movie, pop culture, and geek podcasts. It includes shows that touch on the interaction of culture and daily life, psychology, storytelling, and even subjects such as race and gender relations. Really an intersection of entertainment, culture, and education.

We are proud to announce that we are starting a new section of our website, an active blog sharing articles about the wonderful ridiculousness of life, the universe, and everything.

We are planning to launch with a full page of exciting articles in the first quarter of 2017, and we want YOU to be a part of it.

We are inviting YOU to submit something immediately, so that your article may be part of our launch in early 2017.

The brand or theme of the writing will be “When Culture Touches Life.” This is purposefully broad so as to encourage you to use your cleverness to make something fresh and new.

Articles that meet our needs may include:

  1. Some connection between our brand (culture, media, society, entertainment, or online content) and day-to-day life.
  2. Any genre of article is welcome if it can be tied into the way people relate to each other, society, media, or pop culture, etc. If you think it’s cool, give us a try with it.
  3. A fresh and new way to look at the topic, feel free to use any format or tools to achieve more cleverness. We love us some clever!
  4. A connection or connections between things that seem previously unrelated, informative, emotional, or just loads of fun to read.
  5. Comedy, political, media, nothing is off limits, but above all it needs to be clever.
  6. Although you may self-promote (see guideline #8) we will not accept articles that are simply advertisements for your products or services. They need to have useful, interesting stand alone content…let others be drawn to you because of how awesome your content is.
  7. All articles must have a brief (1 paragraph) bio of the author.
  8. We cannot offer any financial compensation for your contribution, but you may include references or links to your site, podcast, blog, author page, Tumblr, Kickstarter, FetLife Account, or whatever else you would like to share. You may (of course) also include this as an authorship credit for vitae, resume, etc.

Send your any questions and submission to dwight[at] today!

If you would like to be considered for inclusion in the launch, please have your work turned in by 2/15/2017.
