On this episode, I’m joined by Mason Manuel of Reel Dude Reviews to talk about two equally gory movies Hardcore Henry and The Hateful Eight. We also discuss video game adaptation in general and how 2016 will change critics views on video game movies as a whole, starting with Hardcore Henry.

While talking about Hardcore Henry we discuss the versatility of Go Pro Cameras and how director Ilya Naishuller used them perfectly to capture everything, not just Henry’s point of view. We also praise the movie for its brilliant use of editing and potentially starting a new type of movie genre.

In The Hateful Eight portion of our discussion Mason and I talk about the genius of Tarantino and how much the filmmaking world will miss him once he’s gone. We also talk about how The Hateful Eight might be one of his best films yet.
